WELL–STOCKED LIBRARY
At JPS, we encourage a love for reading, both for the sheer joy of it and because it is the most useful technological tool in the student’s range of skills. Our Libraries not only have a vast range of tangible books but go beyond; offering digital media content, online databases, films and e-books. Each Library also houses quiet story-telling corners. Our state-of-the-art Library Management Software provides student access to the library resources online.
The library facility is at the heart of our school community. It enables, encourages and empowers teaching and learning for all members of the school community. The role of the library is to provide a dynamic and flexible space that is innovatively designed with best practices and research in mind where students can explore and use various resources in different formats. They are encouraged to grow and become passionate learners and individuals where the world of knowledge opens up to them. The available resources offer an amazing variety of learning experiences for all ages as it comes from a variety of sources.
ART & CRAFT ROOM
Art is an important subject, not only on its own but in the rest of education as well. Experiencing and making works of art benefits students in their intellectual, personal and social development. Research studies point to strong relationships between learning in the arts and fundamental cognitive skills and capacities used to master other core subjects, including reading, writing, and mathematics. The importance of art education is for us to evaluate ourselves on how we connect with our surroundings. Art plays an important role in almost all aspects of education, from creativity to interpretation to discussion to understanding design. Our art studios are sagas by themselves. Our faculties are well equipped to unleash each child’s inherent talent. Guiding them through various techniques and helping children achieve their aspirations. Our children make beautiful craft creations from waste and recyclable materials.
To develop a well-rounded personality the school offers the students an array of activities to choose from to suit their individual interest.
Creative Activities
- Every child has their own true calling. It is our responsibility to encourage children to find it by guiding them and providing them with a platform. We encourage students to explore their creativity. Theatre, Art and Music form an integral part of our cocurricular education. Students are offered opportunities through regular assemblies, workshops and major public productions to present and perform.
- We also invite established artistes to present their work at the school and share their expertise with the students. A series of well-equipped art, design, music, dance, theatre, photography and filmmaking studios provide space and scope for workshops and rehearsals. The central amphitheatre, with full stage lighting and sound facilities, is the venue for bigger productions.
